Elizabeth,
I really enjoyed listening to your speech for Barack Obama. I agree especially with your statement that Christopher Buckley and Colin Powell are uniting “not so much for Barack Obama [but] through Barack Obama.” This is, in my opinion, one of the most powerful statements of your entire speech because it encompasses the way that Barack Obama has truly been mobilizing everyone to vote for change, from honored retired Generals to your everyday college student.
Great job!
Elizabeth,
I think your speech was amazing! I was having problems with the video feed on my computer, therefore your mouth wasn’t moving at the same time the words came out. I think it was some sort of technical error! However, you spoke evenly and definitively. I thought your inclusion of the numbers of people who flocked to see Obama in Fredericksburg and Germany was especially persuasive. Although, I think it is more important for him to be a citizen of America right now- especially when he won’t even wear an American flag pin. I think that sends a terrible message. But besides that, your mention of Colin Powell’s endorsement was very effective in showing that even conservative Republicans etc. have found reasons to support Obama for President. Further, your use of repetition with the word “think” was a nice touch. This was a great speech!
